I started JockButt.com about five years ago when I got laid off from a job. I wasn't exactly thriving in the job anyway so I decided to examine my options before hitting the classifieds again. Thankfully my partner, now husband, was quite supportive. He just said "Do what you like".
Well what I like is MUSCLE BUTTS IN JOCKSTRAPS in case you haven't noticed :-) And now even though I'm gainfully employed in another day job, JockButt/JockBlog has become a very healthy and fun addition to my life.
Anyway I picked up a fairly cheap digital camera and looked for models. It turns out that quite a few hot guys are more than willing to display their assets so it wasn't hard to assemble a respectably large portfolio.
Of course there's more to this business than snapping pictures. JockButt was doing ok, but not nearly well enough to pay for my semi-ambitious plans.
Happily, I photographed uber-muscle-model Mark Wolff one day. He'd always been on my radar and true to form, he was dark, handsome and came with LOTS of muscle. Well guess what, he has a brain too !
Mark's own site, MarkWolff.com, was doing pretty well. He's been in this business a while and he had built up a very good following with lots of content.
We got to talking about the business of the my site, JockButt. Lucky for me, Mark decided he wanted to collaborate. He would handle the marketing and operations side of the business and I would supply the content.
It turns out Mark also has a pretty good eye for design, so you can mostly thank him for the color scheme, the font styles and the general layout of the site. As a software engineer, I couldn't help but tinker with it too. And with the help of a very good webmaster, we put it all together as you see jockbutt.com now.
